What are the creative industries?

The term 'creative industries' has been established within the last few years and refers to multiple fields within the business world that are characterized by the use of intellectual capital and intellectual property, as well as personal talent and creativity. There is no universal list of which  are included, and the definition can vary somewhat with regards to each situation. Other terns that are used for the 'creative industries' or similar branches of business are the 'experience industry', 'culture industry' and 'information industry' as well as many others.

At CIU we work with both companies and professional individuals, who work in fields such as film, television, design, handicrafts, record production, entertainment services, event production as well as tourism. We also focus on what has been described 'the core layer of the creative economy', namely different forms of art, such as music, visual arts, literature and theatre.
